AS220 is people!
Wow. In case you’re wondering why it’s called AS220 Community Printshop, they’ve made a video that explains. Communal History: The Story of the AS220 Community Printshop is a brand new short by Timothy Whitney that shows off the many faces of the AS220 community. And it does a pretty good job of showing off their amazing shop, too. Promo videos are becoming a something of a prereq for printshops these days- a way to showcase the feel and focus of the place- at their best they emphasize the people as the space. The video is debuting as part of AS220′s Print Month involving a series of events celebrating print including a print lottery fundraiser and a screening of Proceed and Be Bold about letterpress printer (and friend of Printeresting) Amos Kennedy. Amos will be on the scene to help AS220 celebrate. As if Printeresting didn’t already want to visit Providence!
