Wear your Respirator

“Death & The Screenprinter,” by Phineas X. Jones, is included in an upcoming exhibition at the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative called Danse Macabre: Death of the Printer.

The show is themed around the well-known 15th-century image by Matthias Huss of Death invading a print shop. (This is the earliest known printed illustration of a printing press; read more about it at the Book Nerd blog.)

…Things haven’t changed that much since 1499.

It’s good to keep these classic tropes up to date!
