IPCNY: Summer Prints 2012

The International Print Center of New York has built its reputation in part by producing some of the finest juried exhibitions of new print work anywhere in the country. They do this by bringing in top artists and critics to form their selection committee, and then they pack the house with a ton of amazing work. One remarkable facet of their New Prints exhibition series is the way they level all of the various art world hierarchies, often hanging work by blue chip artists produced in the finest print workshop next to work by an aspiring recent graduate working in their basement press; their only razor is quality. Their New Prints: Summer 2012 was no exception.

Many more images after the jump.

Because of the enormous quantity of amazing work, this post will primarily be a photo-tour, and where possible I will annotate the work (if I missed you or your work, please let me know).

Thanks
