June Wayne, 1918-2011

June Wayne, artist, advocate, and founder of the Tamarind Institute passed away on August 23rd, 2011.
A prolific artist, and print visionary, Wayne is often credited for single-handedly reviving lithography in the United States. Her collaborative work in the 1960′s called renewed attention to the importance of the fine art print.
