Flatstock 24 (Part 2)

Continued from Flatstock 24 (Part 1).

Can’t go wrong with The Small Stakes (Oakland, CA). I don’t know The Vaselines but this is a beautiful poster.

A wall of The Small Stakes.

Lalaland Posters had some amazing work by Kii Arens. Arens’  did this Radiohead/Haiti poster a few months back.

Lady Gaga in CMYK.

Kevin Tong, also from LA, had some stand out work.

Tong is the only person I saw selling a literary gig poster. This one is for Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club.

The Jay Ryan wall.

Landland from Minneapolis. I was introduced to their work last year and was impressed. Looks like they’re keeping the momentum going.

Here’s a Landland’s The Swell Season poster. I’m not really crazy about the band but it did seem like almost every booth had a good Swell Season poster.Spent some time talking to Subject Matter from Asheville, NC.

Stackmatic from Milwaukee, WI had some great stuff… there’s a range of styles at Flatstock but Tom Stack is pushing the fringes aesthetically. Kind of minimal and very funny. Should have gotten a picture of his were-worm poster.

More work from LA, this time by Two Rabbits Studios.

Seattle Show Posters.

And we’ll finish up with some freshly-printed posters compliments of our friends at Serie/Coronado and Andy MacDougall of Squeegeeville who were doing live printing demos for visitors.

A ton of good work was edited out to make these posts a manageable size… hopefully this gives some sense of Flatstock 24. Ultimately it’s one of those things you have to see for yourself to get real sense of its scope.
